This category is a tribute to those who love film noir, detective thrillers, crime dramas and the
exploration of neo-noir within their work. Think Blade Runner, Mystic River, M, Dark City, The
Matrix, Memento... How did they alter the way we view film noir as a genre? How did these
contemporary films expand beyond the conventions of the noir genre? We are seeking innovative
films that remind us of the darkness that follows the light and continues to loom.
